Born and raised in Beirut, Dr. Pierre Abi Akl completed his residency in Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, where he worked closely with some of the most prominent surgeons.

Following his residency training, he pursued one of the most prestigious fellowships in the United states in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and Laser surgery at the Beverly Hills Center for Facial Plastic & Laser Surgery and worked closely with the world renown surgeon, Dr. Ben Talei.

He then furthered his training with Dr. Talei at the Beverly Hills Hair Institute and mastered Hair restoration procedures.

Dr. Abi Akl is very active academically, and is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery , the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck surgery, the International Federation of ORL societies and the Middle East Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck surgery.

He is also an avid author and speaker. He has been invited to speak at international meetings and received several awards, and has contributed significantly to the medical literature with his research and publications in international medical journals.

Until now, he continues to perform clinical research advancing the field of facial plastic surgery, and  believes that continuous learning and teaching ensures staying up-to-date on the latest advances and technologies.
