The sun generates significant amount of heat that can worsen the post-operative swelling and delay healing. It can also cause skin hyperpigmentation along the incision line.

Furthermore, we know that sun exposure accelerates the aging process and result in wrinkles. This is why, it is highly recommended to protect your skin by using high SPF sunscreen, always put your sunglasses and hat on if you are willing to go out in the sun.
